Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in San Diego

What Is an IOP?
An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers a middle ground between full-day treatment and traditional outpatient therapy. It’s designed for individuals who don’t need 24/7 care but still benefit from frequent, consistent clinical support. At Golden Coast Rehab, IOP includes multiple therapy sessions per week, access to psychiatric services, and customized recovery planning—all while allowing you to live at home and stay connected to your daily life in San Diego.
What to Expect in Our IOP
Our IOP is built around structure, connection, and accountability. Clients participate in a mix of individual, group, and family therapy, all grounded in evidence-based practices. You’ll receive personalized care from our expert team in a safe, nonjudgmental setting.
- 3–5 days a week of treatment (typically 3 hours per session)
- Trauma-informed and skills-based group therapy
- Medication management and progress check-ins
Who Benefits from an IOP?
IOP is ideal for individuals stepping down from more intensive care (like PHP or residential treatment), or those beginning structured recovery with a moderate level of support. It’s especially helpful for clients balancing recovery with real-world demands. At Golden Coast Rehab, our San Diego-based IOP gives you access to expert guidance, peer support, and clinical tools—while helping you stay active in your life, work, and relationships.
